Magical Talents
There are many magical and intuitive talents.
I asked my friends and very talented
Spiritual Goddess their opinion as to
whether or not the ability to see auras
an aspect of being clairvoyant or is
the ability to see auras completely separate
from clairvoyancy. Here are some very
diverse answers. If you have an answer
you would like to offer an perhaps have
posted on this website, please email
me at earthyfaery@sbcglobal.net.
I say the ability to see auras belongs
to everyone, where they are inherently
clairvoyant or not. Additionally, I believe
that everyone can develop their clairvoyant
abilities to a certain degree.

I've always been taught that being able
to see auras is a part of being clairvoyant.
But everyone is clairvoyant to some extent;
it just depends on how developed the skill
is. People who don't believe in it just
shut those senses down, some have them
naturally developed and others have to
work at it. I've only been able to see
them on a few occasions and when least
expected - I wasn't trying to see them.
By the same token, it's not a skill that
I have practiced at developing either.
But, I can "see" other things
very clearly with my inner vision, seeing
auras just isn't one of them.
In regards to reading the Tarot: again,
some people are going to have a natural
flair for it while others will have to
study the cards and books in order to awaken
their intuition. Are they the same sense?
That may depend on how you choose to interpret "clear
seeing." Personally, I believe it's
a matter of semantics and you can argue
forever about semantics. Clairvoyance is
going to be what it needs to be for the
person who's learning to trust their inner
vision and develop their intuition. If
one can see auras, great. Does it mean
they're not Clairvoyant? No. So, end the
end I would chance to say that being able
to see auras and "read" the tarot
are skill sets underneath the umbrella
term Clairvoyant, which has many skill
sets underneath it. Charyn Gant, Psychic

My husband’s clairvoyant abilities
do not come from books first; it's a
very natural phenom with him. I'll often
ask him if he "sees" colors
around people. He says he really "feels" colors
to be precise. The aura thing for him
is not on the front burner, its kind
of a by product of the other gifts he
has in seeing. As for myself, I don't
think I see auras per say. No colors
around the head here. But I can read
a persons energy very easily. So maybe
it's just a different kind of seeing.
I am also an excellent Tarot reader given
that I am image oriented. So in my opinion
I think that the topic goes deeper...it’s
perhaps in the area of perception, how
does one perceive or sniff out energies?

I think the key phrase here is "see." i
feel that i can sense the color of
an aura because i am a very adept
clairsentient..........i am very
sensitive to vibration at least in
the universe i am god over. So as
usual i feel addressing any subject
one needs to ask oneself is it old
paradigm...........or is there a
new language and new perspective....

Seeing an aura is like paying
attention when someone speaks to
you, if you don't speak the same
language..then it's lost. I remember
seeing people's "halo's" when
i was a little girl; it wasn't until
i worked with energy and knew it
by sight, touch, taste and smell
that i truly understood. Clairvoyance
is defined as power to see things
that are not apparent to the senses,
but as a witch my experience is through
my senses. So ..to answer your question...
clairvoyance could help in seeing
an aura but in my opinion it isn't
required.

I think people can see auras and
not be clairvoyant. I think they
are two different things. When you
see auras, you are actually reading
a kind of energy field, not necessarily
seeing images or mental pictures,
as the word clairvoyant would indicate.
Some people who see auras also see
mental pictures and images as well,
but not necessarily.
Victoria Bearden, Astrologer and
Psychic
In the 30+ years that I have been
reading auras, being clairvoyant
and reading people psychically, I
have found the words or concepts
of aura, clairvoyant, and psychic
to be very different. In each of
these modalities, there is an element
of being able to see what others
(not practices in these modalities)
are unable to see. Even though they
work very similar; when I use these
modalities they feel very different
to me.
For instance, when I see auras,
I am actually using my sight sense.
But I'm using it in the same fashion
as that trick of looking at a flat
picture until you can see the 3-D
image in the picture. I'm actually
relaxing my sight to be able to see
what others cannot.
When I'm being clairvoyant, I'm
reading something that cannot be
perceived by my senses singularly.
It's beyond that. It's as though
you are watching a movie or listening
to the radio. My senses are involved,
but not in any linear way. It's
like information is being delivered,
and I am only required to record
and relate it.
When I use my psychic ability,
I'm using all my senses at once.
I'm using all my senses to make
sense of the information I'm receiving
clairvoyantly. For instance, if
I receive a picture of my client
crying, I'll use my senses to see
where (in my body) the information
is coming through. If I feel it
in my heart chakra, then I know
that the info is related to my
client picking up pain from someone
else. And I will recommend that
they cry away their friend’s
pain, so they can feel better.
If I feel it in my solar plexus,
then the info is related to them
not feeling grounded or safe. And
I will recommend a breathing ritual
that will help them get and feel
grounded. If I feel it in my shoulder,
then it may be related to an injury.
And so on...
So, many others may see these modalities
as the same, or similar; but as
you can see, they are very different
to me. And I am only equipped to
relate my own experience.
